Leander A. was born in 1825 in Tennessee.1 Leander A.'s father was Asa Hatcher. His paternal grandparents were William Hatcher and Joanna. He had four sisters named Ann, Ruth, Mahala Jane and Priscilla J.. He died at the age of 36 in 1861.1
