James Knox Harkleroad

James Knox was born on October 27th, 1844 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   James Knox's father was Henry Harkleroad and his mother was Mehala Shipley. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin Harrison, Lawrence H., Finley, Henry Buchanon, Milburn H., Elizabeth and Sarah V..  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 56 on March 4th, 1901.¹
