William Hale

William was born in 1838 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   William's father was Esau Hale and his mother was Martha. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, James, Silas, Thomas, Amanda and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
