The will gave his mother's name and his date of death. Also, it seem s that he
was not married at the time.
There was another Jacob Groves in Hawkins County in 1830. Jacob B.
distinguished himself from the other with his middle initial. Both J acobs
lived near to each other and may have been first-cousins.
