Mills Godwin 
Mills was born in 1759 in Cherry Grove, Nansemond, Virginia.1 Mills' father was Thomas Godwin and his mother was Mary Pitt. His paternal grandparents were Edmond Godwin and Mary Mills; his maternal grandparents were Henry Pitt and Mary West. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Allen, Edmond Pitt, Henry, Joseph, Josiah, Julia, Louisa and Mary Ann. He died at the age of 66 in 1825 in Cherry Grove, Nansemond, Virginia.1 -
