Tessy Gist

Tessy was born about 1782.¹ Tessy's father was Sequoyah George Gist and her mother was Sallie Waters. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Gist and Wurteh Of The Paint Clan Cherokee Nation. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Oolootsu, Eyagu and Gu-U-Ne-Ki.
