Eliza Jane Augusta was born in 1828 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Eliza Jane Augusta's father was Elijah C. Gillenwater and her mother was Rebecca Snodgrass. Her paternal grandparents were Joel Gillenwaters and Sally Or Loretta Gibbons; her maternal grandparents were William Snodgrass and Mary Elder. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joel F., Elijah, William, Henrietta, Polly Or Mary, Sarah Or Sally W. and Melinda. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died about 1895.1 -
