John Gilbert

John was born in 1866 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   John's father was Green B. Gilbert and his mother was Amanda.  His paternal grandparents were Harvey G. Gilbert and Nancy. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William B., Christian, Nancy, Susannah, Martha and Mary.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
