James Strother Gaines

James Strother was born in 1769.¹   James Strother's father was Thomas W. Gaines and his mother was Susannah Dabney Strother.  His paternal grandfather was Gaines; his maternal grandfather was Strother.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 54 in 1823.¹
