Elizabeth's father was George Fort and her mother was Elizabeth Accabe Duckwood. Her paternal grandparents were Elias Fort and Phyllis Champion. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Elias, George, John, Samuel, Alice, Catherine and Phyllis.
