Alice Caroline was born in 1868 in Crawford Co., Missouri.¹ Alice Caroline's father was William Riley Eggers and her mother was Louisa J. UNKNOWN. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Eggers and Harriet C. Reeves. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James Edward, Austin, Daniel, Belle, Mamie, Lulu M. and Inez. She was the oldest of the eight children.
