James Dykes

James was born in 1775 in ,,North Carolina.¹   James' father was William Dykes and his mother was Susannah Lankford.  His paternal grandparents were John Dykes and Judith Lewis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Netherland, Isham, John, William, Mary, Priscilla, Sarah and Anna.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 78 in 1853 in ,Scott, Virginia.¹
