John Devault 
John was born in 1837 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 John's father was Henry Devault and his mother was Matilda Weaver. His paternal grandparents were Gabriel Devault and Magdalene Kitzmiller. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Martha, Hannah, Mary Magdalene and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the six children.
