John F. Cross 
John F. was born on November 11th, 1863 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 John F.'s father was Jacob Cook Cross and his mother was Elizabeth Barnett. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Cross and Catherine Cook. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Rufus J., James Sinkler, Sarah C., Cordelia and Malissa. He was the oldest of the six children.
