James Knox Polk Cox 
James Knox Polk was born on November 24th, 1847 in Near Benton, Polk Co., TN.1 James Knox Polk's father was James Wilkerson Cox and his mother was Cornelia Abbela Hood. His paternal grandparents were James Cox and Sarah Collins. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert L., Rufus G., Emmons P. D., Ann, Mary, Sarah P. and Nancy C.. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 85 on December 24th, 1932.1 -
