Gale Cope

Gale was born in 1876 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Gale's father was David W. Cope and his mother was Susannah Green. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Cope and Elizabeth Trent; his maternal grandparents were Green and Priscilla Hamblin. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John W., William G., Jesse V., Priscilla, Elizabeth, Frances, Nancy J., Mary M. and Susannah. He was the third youngest of the ten children.
