Calloway Cope 
Calloway was born in 1841 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Calloway's father was Madison Cope and his mother was Eliza Jane Pearson. His paternal grandparents were William Cope and Nancy; his maternal grandparents were Lawrence Pearson and Elizabeth Devault. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Anderson, Lawrence, George H., Seaborn S., Elizabeth, Nancy and Minerva J.. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
