James Conant

James was born in 1860 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   James' father was James Conant and his mother was Sarah. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Jacob M., Jonathan, George T., William C., Catherine Ann, Mary A., Margaret Jane, Martha E., Julia L., Sarah A. and Nancy J..  He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.
