Peter H. was born on December 20th, 1835 in p Liberty Twp., Washington Co., Missouri.1 Peter H.'s father was Jonathan Compton and his mother was Annis Dollarhide. His paternal grandparents were John Compton and Margaret UNKNOWN. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jasper, Jemima, Frances M., Margaret Susannah and Sarah. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 54 on May 3rd, 1890 in p Liberty Twp., Washington Co., Missouri. He was buried in May 1890 in Smith Cemetery, Washington Co., Missouri.1 1 -
