Mary E. Alice Cole

Mary E. Alice was born in 1879 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Mary E. Alice's father was Fairman Preston Cole and her mother was Margaret Ann McClellan.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph S. Cole and Rachel Wassom; her maternal grandparents were Samuel A. McClellan and Mary Ann. She had eight brothers and a sister, named Campbell A., Charles S., Samuel P., Hugh H., Benjamin Simpson, Joseph Henry, Walter H., James William and Willie Ann. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named George, Angie Lee and Susan.  She died at the age of 56 in 1935.¹
