William Cato 
William was born in 1757 in North Carolina.1 William's father was John Cato and his mother was Jane Cooke. His paternal grandparents were George Cato Or Catour and Mary Poole; his maternal grandparents were Henry Cooke and Mary Clarke. He had six brothers and a sister, named Daniel, Burwell, John, George, Henry, Sterling and Mary. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 in 1831.1 -
