Joseph Emory was born on February 16th, 1894 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Joseph Emory's father was James Jackson Carroll and his mother was Nancy Jane Pullen. His paternal grandparents were Jordan Carroll and Christina Shipley; his maternal grandparents were James Pullen and Margaret. He had a brother and a sister, named William Albert and Clara M.. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 39 on April 15th, 1933.1 -
