Sarah was born about 1853 in of Mead County, Kentucky.1 Sarah's father was William L. CLARKSON and her mother was Sarah Palmer REYNOLDS. Her paternal grandparents were William CLARKSON and Miss SPOTSWOOD; her maternal grandparents were Alexander REYNOLDS and Jemima BRIGHT. She had four brothers and a sister, named George Nelson, Spottswood, James, Charles and Virginia. She was the youngest of the six children.General Notes
