Thomas was born about 1841 in Prob. Wash. Co., Missouri.1 Thomas' father was Henry CAPLER and his mother was Mary "Polly" Jackson. His maternal grandparents were William P. Jackson and Jinny Sally. He had two brothers and a sister, named Stephen, Phillip and Elizabeth.
