William Brantley 
William was born in 1768 in Halifax, NC.1 William's father was William Brantley and his mother was Elizabeth. His paternal grandparents were Edward Brantley and Martha Pitman. He had four brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Wilson Rawls, Robert R., John and Elizabeth P.. He was the third youngest of the six children.
