Elizabeth Bowen

Elizabeth was born in 1847 in Of, Hancock, Tennessee.¹ Elizabeth's father was Jesse Bowen and her mother was Sarah H. Durham. Her paternal grandparents were Reuben Bowen and Sarah R. Hicks. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Jason Yeoman, Enoch Smyth, William Harmon, John Patton, Flavilla, Mary Kane, Johana Caroline, Sylvania C. and Eboline. She was the third youngest of the ten children.
