Fannie A. was born about 1844 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Fannie A.'s father was Enoch Kelsey Bachman and her mother was Cornelia Ellen Powell. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan Bachman and Ann Peoples. She had a brother and three sisters, named Nathan Dewitt, Mary Ellen, Ann Elizabeth and Cornelia Ellen. She was the youngest of the five children. She had a half-sister named Susan Louise.-
