James Akard 
James was born in 1852 in Sullivan, Tennessee.1 James' father was Frederick Douglas Akard and his mother was Mary Osborne. His paternal grandparents were Frederick Douglas Akard and Margaret Elizabeth Click; his maternal grandparents were Solomon Osborne and Henrietta Livingston. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Eldridge, William, Charles, Solomon Zachariah, Nancy, Margaret, Henrietta and Mary Elizabeth Adeline.
