His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Algeyer and Catharine UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were David Nathan Baker and Margaret Ann YARBROUGH. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James David, John W., Perry N., Archie Elmer, Maggy, Catherine, Emma F. and Jessie. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
