Mordecai was born on October 31st, 1721 in St. Pauls Parish, Baltimore Co., MD. Mordecai's father was William Tipton and his mother was Hannah Price. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Tipton and Sarah Pearce; his maternal grandparents were Mordecai Price and Mary M. Parsons. He had three brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Thomas, William, Jr. and Sarah. He had two half-brothers named Joseph and Walter. He died at the age of 74 in 1795 in Virginia.General Notes
