Ephraim was born on November 2nd, 1824 in Frederick Co., MD. Ephraim's father was John Stoner and his mother was Elizabeth Kinzer. His paternal grandparents were John Stoner and Hannah Moyer; his maternal grandparents were John Kinzer and Anne Slaymaker. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, John, Hannah, Mary Ann and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 79 on May 4th, 1904 in Frederick Co., MD.General Notes
