Mary Ann was born about 1798 in Lancaster Co., PA. Mary Ann's father was Mathias Slaymaker and her mother was Mary Slaymaker. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Slaymaker and Agilis Young; her maternal grandparents were John Slaymaker and Elizabeth White. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Elizabeth and Jane Margaret. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died in 1861.General Notes
