Samuel A. was born in February 1831 in Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH. Samuel A.'s father was John Slaymaker Linn and his mother was Margaret Jolly. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Linn and Catharine Slaymaker. He had a brother and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James T., Catherine Turner and ?. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 6 on January 21st, 1838.General Notes
