Hedwige was born about 0910 in Saxony, Germany. Hedwige's father was Heinrich I King of Germany and her mother was Mechtilde of Ringleheim. Her paternal grandparents were Otto I Emperor, Holy Roman Empire and Hedwige Empress, Holy Roman Empire. She was an only child. She died in Aix-la-Chapelle.
