Son of Deag is Brathaus of Deag of Arcadh. Brathaus is the father of
Breogain.
Breoghan or Brigus was king of Galicia, Andalusia, Murcia, Castile and Portugal.
Castile was once called Brigia after him, and it is considered that Castile owes the latter name to the figure of a castle which Breoghan bore for his arms on his banner. Breoghan sent a colony to Britain, who settled in the counties of York, Lancaster, Durham, Westmoreland and Cumberland. These colonists were called Brigantes, whose posterity gave formidable opposition to the Romans at the Roman invasion of Britain.

Breogan was the father of Íth, Bile, Fuad and Breaga. Breogan was also the grandfather of Míl Espáine.
When Míl brought his family to Spain, Breogan joined the Milesians where they settled at Brigantia (possibly Braganza in Portugal). It was Breogan who built a tall tower that his son Íth would one day see a distant green island. When Íth went to investigate this island (Ireland), the three Danann kings would murder him. This would inevitably lead to the invasion of Ireland, by the sons of Míl.

Breoghan (or Brigus) was king of Galicia, Andalusia, Murcia, Castile, and Portugal-all of which he conquered. He built Breoghan's Tower or Brigantia in Galicia, and the city of Brigantia or Braganza in Portugal-called after him; and the kingdom of Castile was then also called after him Brigia. It is considered that "Castile" itself was so called from the figure of a castle which Brigus bore for his Arms on his banner.
