Her paternal grandparents were Levi Baxley and Mary Price Leet; her maternal grandparents were Samual Willis and Sarah Musselwhite. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Elias, Dougald, Riley, Archibald, James, Mary, Derandia, Rosa A, Margaret, Francis, Missy and Winnie.-
