Anderson E was born in 1885 in North Carolina. Anderson E's father was James Baxley and his mother was Florance Prevatt. His paternal grandparents were Richard Benjamin Baxley and Elizabeth Miller Willis. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, William B, Richard B, Fermly, Lebia, Ora , Sally, Aranna ? and Adelia. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
