German Ancestry, Religion Catholic. I attended his funeral, I was 22 yrs old at the time. Matt died 9 days after my mothers 51 st Birthday. Matt had not been sick, he died of old age. He was 90 years old. We were all sad at the funeral home and the attendant said you should rejoice, not many people live to be 90, we realized, indeed, he was right. His son, Joe, built a two room home behind his house in Purcell and Matt & Julia lived there for perhaps 20 years. From age 70 to age 90. Joe's wife Florence took care of him in his later years, after Julia had died.
