Josia was born in 1626 in Barnstable MA.  Josia's father was Andrew Sr Hallett and her mother was Mary Reeves.  Her maternal grandfather was James Reeves. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Andrew Jr, Samuel, John, Joseph, Bathsheba and Hannah.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.
