John was born in 1629 in Henrico Co Va. John's father was Samuel Silas Jordan and his mother was Cicely Reynolds. His paternal grandfather was Samuel Jordan; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Reynolds and Cicely Jane Phippen. He had a brother and four sisters, named Peter, Mary, Margaret, Eleanor and Ann. He died in Farrar S Island Henrico Co Va.-
