George Sr was born on August 16th, 1755 in Pike ,District Twnsp Berks PA.  George Sr's father was Israel  Burkett and his mother was Anna Maria Barbara. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Christopher "Stophel", John, Jacob, Catherine, Mary, Margaret and Barbara.  He died at the age of 40 in 1795 in Bedford Bedford Co PA.
