(Capt.) Anthony Jr. was born about 1605 in Broadway, Worcestershire, ENGLAND. (Capt.) Anthony Jr.'s father was Anthony Sr. SAVAGE and his mother was Elizabeth HALL. His paternal grandparents were Francis SAVAGE and Ann SHELDON; his maternal grandparents were John William HALL and Fidelity * TYNDAHL. He was an only child. He died on June 5th, 1695 in Jamestown, VA.General Notes

Esq., Justice of Gloucester Co., VA and High Sheriff in 1660. On Nov. 20, 1678, Anthony Savage, of the upper precinct of Sittinburne parish, conveyed to Francis Thornton and Alice Savage Thornton, his wife, 300 acres to be divided from the tract he then lived on of 1,000 acres, called Mongoheocala with division to granddaughter, Margaret Thornton, who afterward married Wllm. Strother Jr., son of the first William and his wife Dorothy. In 1727, Wllm. Strother Jr. and his wife, Margaret Thornton, conveyed this land to their son, William Strother, of "Stafford," (who married Margaret Watts) (Register: KY Hist. Soc., May 1911) probate by his son-in-law, Francis Thornton, exec. Will missing.
