Her paternal grandfather was (Count) Welf De BAVIERE. She was an only child. She died in Tours, Indre-en-Loire, FRANCE.General Notes

Note:
She was called a She-Devil; she surrounded herself with sorcerers and sooth-sayers. After a coup in 830 by her step-sons, she was captured and placed in a convent. Later recalled by her husband, in 832 she was again captured. This time she was sent to Italy. In 834 she was freed again. At her husband`s death, she was placed under the protection of her step-son, Lothair, the new Emperor, the same one who had made her life miserable.
Daughter of Welfe or Guelph I, Count of Bavaria.
