John Le SCROPE 
John was born about 1327. John's father was Geoffrey De SCROPE and his mother was Ivetta (Juetta) De ROS. His paternal grandparents were William De SCROPE and Constance GILLE; his maternal grandparents were William of Ingmanthorpe De ROS and Eustache FITZ HUGH. He was an only child. He died before December 20th, 1405.General Notes
Note: Castle Bolton (North Yorkshire)Built by Lord SCROPE in 1378, it passed briefly to the PERCYfamily when Scrope fell from favour. MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS stayedhere (Jul-Dec 1568). An imposing shell of the castle remains.
