RESIDENCES: From 1761-1795 are listed in NJ, MD, and VA.
NOTE:
The birthplaces of Jonathan Sr.'s children come from various sources, primarily census enumerations, but also from Aaron Sargent Behymer's diary, etc. These, for the most part, indicate VA as the birthplace for most of his children. This is not consistent with the known location of John, Sr. via land transactions, etc. where he seems to have migrated form the PA/NJ area to Frederick Co., MD c. 1770, then on to Botetout/Montgomery Co., VA c. 1795. One of these census enumerations for John Sr.'s son, Nataniel, does, however, indicate MD as Nathaniel's birthplace (and in other census enumerations his birthplace is listed as VA). Most of John Sr.'s children undoubtedly grew up in VA, and so, in the author's opinion, listed VA as their birthplace incorrectly? Brian Ward <familyhistoryrocks@@yahoo.com>
