Gruffud was born in 1215 in Montgomeryshire, WALES. Gruffud's father was (King) Gwenwynwyn Ap OWAIN and his mother was Margaret CORBET. His paternal grandparents were (King) Owain Cyfeiliog Ap GRUFFYDD and Gwenllian Ferch OWAIN; his maternal grandparents were Robert of Caus CORBET and Emma PANTULF. He was an only child. He died at the age of 71 in 1286.General Notes
