John Mallot Winstead 
John Mallot's father was John Winstead and his mother was Fanny Lawson. His paternal grandparents were Ezekiel Winstead and Mourning Watkins. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William, Malin, Gaines, James, Madison, Amos Jackson, John Wilson, Fuller Willis, Nancy Jane, Orlena, Mary Ann and Sarah. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Rufas and Laura.-
