Gibson Wines 
Gibson was born in 1829 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Gibson's father was David Wines and his mother was Matilda McKirgin. His maternal grandparents were Thomas McKirgin and Jane Lyons. He had three brothers and a sister, named George, William, Thomas and Sarah. He was the oldest of the five children.
