Anne was born on April 3rd, 1805 in , , Tennessee.  Anne's father was Larkin Willis and her mother was Mary Reese.  Her paternal grandparents were James Willis and Elizabeth Wilson. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James Larkin, Samuel, Solomon, Martha Or Patsy, Elizabeth and Frances.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.
