Silas White 
Silas was born in 1829 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Silas' father was William Gilmore White and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandfather was Joseph White. He had three brothers named Isaac, William and Pleasant. He was the second oldest of the four children.
